A Message from the Principal

Dear Manchester Families,

What a wonderful school year! I can't believe it is already drawing to a close. We are entering our season of testing which requires our students to do their very best and showcase all that they have learned during the year. PASS is May 7-9 for our students in grades 3-5. Please do not schedule appointments which would pull your student out of school during those testing days. It is important that students are on time for school and they attend school everyday.

We are working on our Title I needs assessment and we are seeking ideas from our parents. If you have any questions or ideas for school improvement, please call or come by the school. My door is always open and I enjoy getting to know our Manchester families. Our theme is "Manchester Works" and I believe Manchester works because of our supportive families and dedicated teachers. Thank you for helping to make this school year a success!

Joan Tye
Principal

MORE TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION

If you would like for your child to be dropped off by the school bus at a location different from the home address, such as a day care or with a sitter, a JACOB'S LAW form must be completed by the parent or guardian. Jacob's Law is a South Carolina state law (56-5-195, SC Code of Laws).
Sumter District Two uses the Request for Origin of Destination Change for School Bus Transportation Form to meet the Jacob's Law requirements and this form may be picked up at Manchester. This form must be notarized and Mrs. Ratliff will do this for you if needed.

The South Carolina Department of Education has recognized Manchester as the recipient of the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Ribbon Award.
