Welcome to Manchester Elementary

Joan Tye

We are looking forward to beginning Phase 1 of the Hybrid learning model next week at Manchester Elementary.  Students in grades PreK, Kindergarten, and First grade should be receiving calls today notifying parents which days children will report to school.  Students will be assigned as A days or B days.  A days will report to school Mondays and Thursdays, while B students will report to school Tuesdays and Fridays beginning Thursday, October 1.

In addition to the above grades, students who receive Special Education services with an IEP and ELL students in all grades will be notified by their teacher today so that they may begin school next week.  Students will be assigned specific days.  Please adhere to the schedule you are assigned.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided and served daily. Your child may bring a lunch, but remember to pack items that can be easily opened by your child and items that do not require to be heated or prepared.

Students are required to wear face masks throughout the day.  Face shields are not permissible without a face mask.

Due to COVID 19, we are limiting the number of adults allowed in the building and walking students through the building to class will not be permissible.

Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle that can be refilled at our water stations throughout the building.  We will also have hand sanitizer available in the classrooms and throughout the halls.

At this time, please do not send anything with your child to school except their chromebook, charger, and water bottle.  No bookbags please.  All school supplies will be provided for students in the classroom.  Teachers will let you know when to return textbooks.

Please continue to talk with your child about the safety measures that are in place.  We will continue to socially distance and follow CDC guidelines.

If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to contact the school at 803-452-5454.

Please see the school and district’s websites for breakfast and lunch distribution information during virtual learning. Breakfast and lunch meals are free for all students.
